Wilmington Drama League 2024/2025 Season

The Wilmington Drama League's 2024-2025 season will showcase a variety of shows ranging from Broadway favorites to family favorites and hit musicals. And, as with every Wilmington Drama League season, it's one of the most affordable tickets in town.

Note that all shows except December are 8pm on Fri/Sat and 2pm Sun

September 13 - 22, 2024

Carrie the Musical,  based on Stephen King’s

indelible classic tale of high school bullying gone

awry, will thrill and entertain you while keeping

you on the edge of your seat!

October  11 - 20, 2024

Winner of numerous awards including a record 7 Olivier’s and 5 Tony’s (including Best Play),           Curious Incident portrays a teen with autism as he investigates a mystery.   An "imaginative            adaptation" and "brilliant production" presented  in a "fresh and arresting light" while “balancing    humor and tragedy”- The Independent

November 7 - 10, 2024

Five women are assembled for the 1956 annual meeting of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein’s annual quiche breakfast. But what about THE BOMB! Always remember, “respect the egg.”

December 13 - 29, 2024

Mary Poppins is based on the classic Disney movie and tells a wonderful story of magic and caring just perfect for the holiday season. Nominated for 7 Tony awards, including best show, be sure you don’t miss what will be a popular destination this December.

JAN 24 - FEB 2, 2025

The Full Monty, nominated for 9 Tony Awards and an adaptation of the Oscar nominated film, is a big-hearted, laugh filled romp that builds to a     finale you don’t want to miss!

FEBRUARY 7 - 8, 2025

The Ruby Stanley One-Act Festival is named for a late long time Wilmington Drama League volunteer, board member and costume mistress. The production, which frequently features original works by local playwrights, culminates with a two-day festival in which audience members vote for their favorite play.  The winner then represents the Wilmington Drama League at the state, and often regional, level.

FEB 28 - MARCH  9, 2025

Winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical, tick, tick...Boom! is a magical   musical story about the process of creation, with its frustrations and joys.

April 4 - 13, 2025

I Hate Hamlet takes an aspiring actor, his unfortunately chaste girlfriend, the ghost of actor, John Barrymore, a   séance, a sword fight and general mayhem to produce a hysterical look at the vagaries of acting for a living!

MAY 1 - 4, 2025

Bug, the Lortel and Obie Award-winning play by Tracy Letts (August: Osage County) explores paranoia, conspiracy theories and violence in a grippingly intimate setting.

May 30 - June 15, 2025

Winner of the 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Hairspray combines 60’s style R&B and  infectious dancing as underdog Tracy campaigns to integrate a TV teen dance program.  Loads of fun and a great message!
