Overview
Elyot Chase and his wife are on their honeymoon in France. However, unbeknownst to either of them, Elyot’s first wife, Amanda, is on her honeymoon with her new husband in the suite next door. Taking in some air on their respective balconies, Elyot and Amanda are shocked to discover each other. In the ensuing hilarity, Elyot and Amanda begin to evaluate what caused their relationship to fail. A sensation in its time, and winner of the 2002 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play, Private Lives is one of Noel Coward’s most beloved works, containing some of his strongest characters and best dialogue.
