Overview

Ever wanted to know what would happen if a young beggar and a prince changed places? So did Tom Canty and Prince Edward of Wales. One day after meeting by chance and noticing they look very much alike, they decide to try it out. However, it turns out to be more than they bargained for as each discovers the pitfalls of the other’s life and has difficulty proving (and, at times, concealing) who they really are. Mark Twain’s classic tale of mistaken identity and class struggle is filled with laughs and thrills.

The Wilmington Drama League is about to give you the “Razzle-Dazzle” in the form of the smash musical CHICAGO! Chicago is a story of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery, and treachery-all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts. It is the tale of the sensational murderess Velma Kelly, the reigning queen of the Cook County jail, and Roxie Hart, the newest of the merry murderesses, who, of course, haven’t really committed any crime…or have they? This musical is sure to provide an evening of fun, mystery and All That Jazz.
