Overview
Based on The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Big River combines a faithful retelling of Mark Twain’s classic novel with Americana music at its best. Toe-tapping, hand-clapping country and bluegrass tunes provide the backdrop to Huck and Jim’s escape to freedom down the Mississippi River. Behind the comic characters and hysterically funny situations, Big River weaves a story of American racial conflict and reconciliation, the quest for freedom, and the seduction of a new frontier.
