Ever wanted to know what would happen if a young beggar and a prince changed places? So did Tom Canty and Prince Edward of Wales. One day after meeting by chance and noticing they look very much alike, they decide to try it out. However, it turns out to be more than they bargained for as each discovers the pitfalls of the other’s life and has difficulty proving (and, at times, concealing) who they really are. Mark Twain’s classic tale of mistaken identity and class struggle is filled with laughs and thrills.

The Drama League brings you the best of new musical theatre in this musical celebration of the mating game that takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as “the relationship.” Act l details the journey from dating and waiting to lovers and marriage, while Act II reveals the agonies and triumphs of in-laws and newborns, trips in the family car and pick-up techniques of the geriatric set. This hilarious revue pays tribute to those who have loved and lost, to those who have fallen on their face at the portal of romance, to those who have dared to ask, “Say, what are you doing Saturday night?” Contains adult language & situations.
